Requirements

Must:
- Completed bachelors degree with strong academic results in statistics or equivalent background in a related field - Familiarity with a broad range of statistical methods, including Bayesian optimization and other sequential learning techniques - Ability to apply statistical engineering methodologies to define problems, develop experimental plans, model data, extract insights, and scale successful models - Availability for a duration of at least 6 months - Ability to work effectively with diverse groups by embracing creativity, innovation, and initiative - Skilled in making complex decisions using available data while trusting gut instinct - Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to explain complex statistical concepts to non-experts and maintain relationships with various partner organizations - Proficient in spoken and written English - Awareness of coding skills in Python, R, SAS, and ability to connect to cloud databases and write queries to download data - Knowledge of foundations of machine learning/artificial intelligence, JMP software, GitHub, SQL, and/or Databricks is an advantage - Short work experience, internships, and studies abroad are considered a plus

- Explore and develop alternative, more affordable sampling techniques and tools with equivalent statistical confidence - Evaluate the foundations of qualification protocols and compare them to state-of-the-art methods - Analyze historical data from qualification events and study opportunities - Perform simulations in various scenarios to estimate the rate of attribute defects - Initiate a database that enables historical trend analyses - Evaluate possible applications of machine learning approaches, such as Genetic Algorithms - Integrate learning experiences to make a compelling case for applicable improvements
