Our mission:

We started in Switzerland as SwissDevJobs.ch with the goal to bring more transparency, openness and diversity to the Swiss IT market.
After achieving this goal, we now strive to do the same on the German IT market. We want to make the job search process for Software Engineers more enjoyable by gathering all job postings in Germany and presenting them in an informative way.
Our portal is not only for Developers but for everyone working in the IT industry: Engineers, SAP and System Admins, Product Managers, QAs and UX/UI Designers!

Greg Tomasik has over 9 years of experience in the software industry, beginning in 2015 as a developer focused on full-stack web development, backend systems, and data-driven applications. His early roles involved building enterprise-grade platforms and integrating complex marketing and automation systems using Java, JavaScript, and Python.

Through years of working in tech teams and actively participating in hiring processes, he gained first-hand insight into how developers search for jobs, what frustrates them, and what information they value most: transparent salary ranges, clear tech stacks, and direct application processes.

These insights led him in 2018 to co-found candidate-first job boards including SwissDevJobs, GermanTechJobs, and DevITJobs, all designed to put developer needs at the center by bringing transparency, making job criteria explicit, and simplifying the application experience.

Our team is made up of seasoned professionals with over 40 years of combined experience across HR, recruiting, marketing, sales, and technology, bringing together deep industry knowledge and cross-functional expertise to build better hiring solutions for the tech community.

Our History:

2018

SwissDevJobs.ch launched as Switzerland's first developer-focused job board, introducing salary transparency, structured tech stack filters, and a minimalist, developer-first UX.

2020

Expansion into Germany and Romania with the launch of GermanTechJobs.de and DevJob.ro, applying the same transparent and developer-centric hiring approach.

2021

Further international rollout with DevITJobs.uk (UK), DevITJobs.nl (Netherlands), and DevITJobs.com (global/US-focused), adapting the core format to local markets.

2022–2023

Platform refinement and community growth. The team launched the first annual Transparent IT Job Market Reports, aggregating thousands of developer survey responses and salary data to inform job seekers and hiring teams.

2024

SwissDevJobs surpassed 80,000 monthly users, consistently ranked among Switzerland's top IT job boards.

GermanTechJobs established itself as the leading platform in Germany for salary-disclosed, tech-stack-filtered job listings.

Rollout of new UX updates, recruiter tools, and developer content (e.g., blogs, events, salary benchmarks).

2025

Expansion into France with the launch of DevITJobs.fr.

Why and How:

SwissDevJobs started in 2018 as a side-project in Zurich by developers frustrated with the existing job boards that looked like they were built in 2002.

If you are a Software Engineer and ever searched for a job, you probably noticed, that the existing job boards are a pain to use:

  • Job descriptions are unstructured and don't mention the important things, like technologies or work methodology (are you writing unit tests?)
  • Filtering and searching is broken - you can search but good luck finding the jobs that match your skills, experience, and preferences
  • You never know where your application goes - directly to the company or to some middle man recruiting agency

We asked ourselves - how can we make it better? This is how the idea of SwissDevJobs came up.

If you want to be more specific, just click on "Filters" and use the ones that you want.

Once you've got that and click on a job, you can see the details, including technologies, requirements, responsibilities, methodology, and benefits.

When you apply - you fill in your contact details, upload CV, and click send - your application is sent directly to the company.
