Requirements
Must:
- Currently pursuing a bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field with a focus on data or software engineering. You must be enrolled as a student at least until the last planned day of your working student contract
- Strong English proficiency
- Experience with one or more programming and scripting languages (Python and SQL are of advantage, Go is a nice-to-have)
- Communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team as well as independently
It helps if you are interested / have some background in:
- Knowledge of software development principles
- Data modeling, schema design, and data normalization techniques
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure
- Understanding of cloud-based storage (e.g., S3, Azure Data Lake) and big data processing technologies (e.g., AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, Databricks) for scalable and efficient data workflows
- First experience with agile frameworks like Scrum and knowledge of data mesh principles
- Interest in data visualization tools like Tableau, PowerBI, or Qlik
- Interest in real-time data delivery technologies
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and ensure data quality
- Participate in monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving data processing issues
- Contribute to and support our product teams in the design and development of new data products
- Embrace data mesh principles to ensure data quality and smooth data exchange
- Bring in your own ideas into the design of new or improved data products and transform them into end-to-end proof-of-concept solutions in the cloud
- Contribute to the creation of comprehensive, easy-to-follow technical documentation
- Organize communication with our stakeholders and support the documentation of our data products
- Support with the management, maintenance and requirements engineering of our applications as well as create and enhance communication material
