Requirements
Must:
- Completed vocational training as an office administrator or comparable qualification, or a completed bachelors degree in a relevant field, or initial professional experience in an assistant, office management, or administration role, ideally in an academic or research environment.
- Fluency in written and spoken German and English.
- Excellent organisational skills, a strong eye for detail, and a reliable, deadline-oriented way of working.
- Confident use of common office software and online tools; openness to participating in and organising online meetings.
- A pronounced service orientation, strong communication skills, and a cooperative team spirit.
Responsibilities
- General secretarial and administrative duties for the Research Department, including organising business trips for group members.
- Technical and organisational support for meetings and small events (room bookings, catering coordination, participant communication).
- Maintaining regular contact with the local administrative units of the Max Planck Institute and the general administration of the Max Planck Society.
- Local administrative support for visitors and new group members (e.g., hiring-related processes in coordination with administration and assistance in finding accommodation).
- Reporting to the Scientific Coordinator of the Department.
