Senior Data Platform Engineer (f/m/d) - Essen

In this role, I will expect you to partner with stakeholders across business units to translate complex requirements into robust data-driven technical solutions, integrating data engineering and software development. You will build and optimize data pipelines using modern programming languages and frameworks, with a focus on Python/Pyspark/Snowpark for development and integration. Additionally, you will design, implement, and maintain efficient data workflows and data warehousing solutions using tools like Snowflake to ensure seamless data ingestion, transformation, storage, and retrieval. Leveraging Azure cloud platforms to deploy scalable data and software solutions, incorporating serverless architectures, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) will also be part of your duties. I will require you to drive solution delivery through agile methodologies, managing end-to-end development cycles, from requirements gathering to deployment and monitoring, ensuring high-quality deliverables. Conducting rigorous testing, including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT), to ensure reliability, performance, and scalability of data systems will be crucial. Lastly, I expect you to monitor and optimize production environments using observability tools and implement CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery using tools like Azure DevOps.
