Requirements

Must:
- Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline. - At least 3 years of professional experience in software development. - Very good knowledge in modern C++. - Knowledge in CMake, Conan, Git, Jenkins, and Docker/Podman. - Experience in developing distributed/service-oriented systems would be a plus. - Experience in synthetic environments for training simulators would be a plus. - Very good English skills. - Interest in flight simulators, software development, and integration.

Responsibilities

- I will support the design of the service-oriented architecture for the Synthetic Environment based on different project needs. - I will design and implement services required by different training simulators in line with stakeholder needs. - I will design and implement software interfaces between different services and external systems. - I will develop and maintain C++ software solutions to support operational and technical requirements for realistic simulation. - I will perform continuous integration and testing of developed services. - I will apply DevOps principles and tools. - I will support software verification activities. - I will analyze and fix reported issues. - I will create documentation of software design, interfaces, and tests.

In order to support the development of our Common Synthetic Environment (ACSE), we at Airbus Defence and Space are looking for a Simulation Software Engineer (m/w/d) to join our team in Manching, responsible for developing the synthetic environment used across various training simulators. We simulate tactical and natural environments required for different aircraft simulators to provide realistic training for military pilots. We are working towards a modular and scalable solution that serves multiple projects, referred to as the Airbus Common Synthetic Environment (ACSE), currently being developed for the Eurofighter pilot training simulation system, SIRTAP, Eurodrone operator simulators, and military transport aircraft flight simulators.
