- I am looking for a Bachelor's or Master's Student in Aerospace Engineering, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or a similar field.
- I value hands-on experience with object-oriented programming and Python.
- Familiarity with version control, such as GitHub, is important.
- I appreciate an interest in superconductivity and future aircraft propulsion technologies; knowledge of aircraft propulsion is a plus.
- Fluency in English is required.
- I seek individuals with a spirit of initiative and innovation, who are rigorous and reliable in their work, autonomous, and curious in their approach.

Responsibilities
- I expect you to familiarize yourself with our current software library.
- You will develop and improve software components for the superconducting propulsion system.
- Supporting architectural trades to identify the optimal architecture of a combined cryo-cooling and electrical system, in collaboration with various engineering disciplines, will be part of your role.
- You will analyze results and iteratively improve the library and architecture design.
- Documenting and presenting your results will also be essential.

I am excited to offer an internship with the Design & Simulation Team at Airbus Defence and Space, focusing on the CRYOPROP Architecture Sizing Tool. This position is ideal for someone eager to engage in engineering software tool development within the realm of sustainable aviation. This internship will commence between early 2026 and Spring 2026 for a duration of 5-6 months. You will be involved in innovative technology related to hybrid or full electric propulsion of aircraft and contribute to key projects like the Airbus UpNext CryoProp demonstrator. I value your contributions as you help enhance our existing software library and support architecture studies, working within an international team.
