Knowledge and experience in cyber security and the tasks mentioned are crucial. You should have a deep understanding of resilience frameworks like ISO 22301, ISO 31000, ISO 27031, and NIST SP 800-34, along with expertise in Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and risk assessment methodologies. Experience in developing Business Continuity Plans (BCP) and Crisis Management Plans is essential. Familiarity with Emergency Response and Crisis Communication procedures, as well as resilience management tools and crisis platforms, will be important for this role. You should also possess a good understanding of Disaster Recovery principles and be able to coordinate with IT teams. The ability to manage incidents effectively, work with multiple stakeholders, and facilitate BIA workshops is necessary. Cultural sensitivity for international collaboration is required. Proficiency in both German and English (spoken and written) at a negotiation level is mandatory, and there will be a need for business travel domestically and internationally. A security clearance is also necessary for this position, or one must be obtained from the responsible authorities.

Responsibilities

Your primary tasks will include implementing crisis management strategies, ensuring business continuity, and defining governance for medium to large cybersecurity consulting projects. You will be responsible for organizing crisis management, creating crisis plans, and managing associated documentation. Delivery of crisis and business continuity exercises, such as Reality Checks, Serious Games, and Simulations, will be part of your role. Additionally, you will evaluate and audit crisis management and business continuity efforts and lead smaller cybersecurity consulting projects while significantly contributing to larger projects. Independent application of consulting methods while documenting and presenting results will be expected. Training and coaching in crisis management and business continuity are also key responsibilities. You will have occasional advisory roles for clients seeking further support and will be expected to prepare necessary documentation and present work results.
