We would love for you to bring a degree or training in (business) informatics or a related field, along with solid experience in backend development with C#/.NET and Azure. You should prefer functional over object-oriented programming (e.g., using LanguageExt) and feel comfortable with modern backend concepts such as microservices, REST, OpenAPI, OAuth, and event sourcing. Experience in developing software solutions for IoT devices is important, as understanding the unique technical and architectural challenges involved is crucial. You're expected to be confident in working with SQL and NoSQL databases, have experience with TDD, and perhaps even a first look into Terraform. You should thrive in cross-functional agile teams, contributing to iterative development cycles and regular feedback loops. As a team player who works independently, you should think in solutions, communicate clearly, and maintain a curiosity and eagerness to grow.

In your role as a Senior C# Backend Developer in our Digital Customer Solutions team, you will design and build robust backend services for our BRITA iQ platform, which manages IoT devices. Using C# and Azure, you will deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions. Collaborating closely with Product Owners, Frontend developers, and QA Engineers, you will deliver end-to-end features from concept to deployment and operation. You will leverage your experience with microservices, OpenAPI, OAuth, and event sourcing to shape smart and future-ready architectures. Your commitment to clean code will be evident in your practices of writing tests, reviewing code, and following modern engineering best practices. You will remain focused on performance by monitoring KPIs like response times and error rates and continuously optimizing our services. Sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues while staying curious about the latest in tech and security is vital to our team dynamics.
