Computer Scientist / IT Specialist as Network Specialist

Requirements
Must:
- Degree in computer science or comparable training
- Several years of experience in network administration
- Good knowledge of network technologies (LAN, WAN, WLAN), firewall administration, and routing and switching, ideally based on Palo Alto & Cisco
- Initial knowledge of data centre coupling, NAC, 802.1x authentication, network automation, data centre operation, structured cabling, and WAN environment (MPLS) as well as network trace evaluations under Wireshark or similar
- Initial experience in the field of IT security and dealing with XDR / MDR solutions is desirable
- Good command of German and English
- Valid work permit for the European Union
- Ability to cooperate and work in a team
Responsibilities
- As part of our team, I will plan, implement, and administer network and firewall infrastructures to ensure my colleagues have a smooth working day
- I will take responsibility for the operational reliability of switches, firewalls, load balancers, and their services, including monitoring, support, incident, patch, release, change, and problem management
- In this role, I will manage XDR / MDR solutions and take care of our security incidents
- I will develop standards, technical guidelines, and operating concepts alongside my team
- I will address colleagues' IT concerns and process them in our internal ticket system while maintaining our documentation
- I will work in an international team and serve as the point of contact for technical and organizational questions
