At UKD, we strive for international excellence in patient care, research, and teaching, along with innovative and safe diagnostics, therapy, and prevention. Patients benefit from the intensive interdisciplinary cooperation between our 60 clinics and institutes, with a particular strength in integrating clinical and research work for safe application of new methods. Tomorrow's medicine is being created at the UKD every day. We are looking for a new Bioinformatician (m/f/d) to join the Institute of Pathology from October 1, 2025, until August 31, 2027, within the framework of the Scientific Fixed-Term Contract Act (WissZeitVG according to Section 2 Paragraph 2). This position is part of the ENDOFERT project on endometriosis funded by the BMBF, focusing on spatial transcriptomics. Our instrumental equipment offers excellent starting conditions, including a digital tissue microarray platform and the GPU expansion of the HPC infrastructure at our Düsseldorf site. We offer a collaborative work environment in a fresh and innovative team, a well-equipped laboratory and office space, opportunities for professional development through the Heine Research Academies (HeRA), mentorship programs, and support for research funding and travel expenses. Additionally, we provide a pleasant working atmosphere, daycare, staff accommodation, and inexpensive dining options.
