Research Chair in Applied Agricultural and Food Data Science

As the Research Chair, you will play a key leadership role in building interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research capacity in agri-food systems and data science. You will support doctoral training, mentor early-career researchers and lecturers, and coordinate joint activities with partner institutions in South Africa, Germany, and Malawi. You will also enhance our Centre's profile through your research agenda, supervision, publications, as well as collaborative and transfer initiatives. Key responsibilities include managing research data, securing funding opportunities, supporting academic exchanges, and developing data science short courses and sustainable strategies for the Centre.
