Anforderungen

Muss:
- A Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related security-focused field. - A strong foundation in applied cryptography, including Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), digital certificates, and secure network protocols (e.g., TLS, IPSec). - Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with the ability to dissect and understand complex algorithms. - Hands-on programming experience with Python, C/C++, and proficiency in a Linux environment (including shell scripting). - An independent, self-motivated mindset with an enthusiasm for working in a dynamic and agile research environment.

In order to support the Communication Technologies, we at Airbus Defence & Space are looking for a PhD Thesis on Cryptographically Verifiable Security for Aerospace Systems (d/f/m). We work on cutting-edge technologies for future airborne and spaceborne systems, with the objective of providing novel functionalities while simultaneously reducing the environmental footprint of Airbus products and services. You will become part of a research team focused on the development of secure communication systems and their potential applications in the field of aviation. Your impact will be on exploration and design of novel cryptographic applications within a Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) to solve critical challenges in avionics. You will contribute to a groundbreaking framework that replaces implicit trust with verifiable certainty, directly impacting the safety and security of future aviation.
