Kann ich die Hardware auswählen? Wie ist Ihr Codierungssetup (IDE, Betriebssystem, Build-Server, Cloud-Anbieter)?

All our employees are equipped with hardware provided by anynines, which includes Apple Macbooks and whatever else is required to support their daily work activities.


Our developers use MacOS, but they are free to choose the IDE that suits them better, from VIM to VS Code. Since our products target different infrastructure and environments, we use different building systems. For Kubernetes products, for example, we use GitHub Actions, ArgoCD and Tekton. For our a9s Data Services, we use BOSH and Concourse CI.


We work with all major cloud providers, and for development purposes, we mainly use Atlassian, GitHub, Google and Amazon.

We always strive to use open-source frameworks and libraries as much as possible, that way we can focus on writing code that really matters.

In our work environment, we highly encourage and seek to increase diversity. The teams are structured according to small business units. Our tech teams, specifically, have sizes from 4 to 21 collaborators. We have a flat hierarchy system, and we support and hear all the voices within our company.

We have a beautiful office in Saarbrücken, however remote working is an integral part of our company culture and is offered to all our employees living in Germany. We offer as well, but currently only for our employees living in Brazil, teleworking positions.

Wenn Sie Agile machen - wie ist Ihr agiler Prozess- und Release-Zyklus? Wie viel Codierung im Vergleich zu Meetings / Planung?

Our developing teams follow a combination of the Kanban and Scrum processes - also known as Scrumban. Sprints have a duration of two weeks, meanwhile, product releases usually happen biweekly or monthly.

We keep a balance between the hours spent on meetings and planning, our regular events are the daily stand-ups, biweekly refinement, planning and retrospective meetings.

Haben Sie interne Tech-Workshops oder Hackathons? Gibt es ein Bildungsbudget?

At anynines we do not have a fixed budget for educational purposes. We support the continuous learning of our employees per demand, which means that the employees choose on their own what kind of further training suits best for them - book, conferences, online training. We organise hackathons and internal events periodically. There are also team conducted training and workshops.

Yes, we offer up to 8 hours per sprint on side projects tasks that aren’t part of the daily business, as long as they are related to the employee’s position in our company. 💼 Wie sieht der Interviewprozess bei anynines aus?

All steps are conducted by team members, HR coordinates the process and takes part in appointments to discuss administrative or contractual topics.


The hiring process starts with a general interview to discuss previous experiences, overall technical knowledge and general aspects of the position, as well as to give an overview of anynines as a company.


After this talk, the candidates receive a task to be completed at their home, and it can be expanded in the following co-working session, where we will be able to gain a deeper insight into not only their abilities but also their flow whilst working integrated into our team. The co-working session as the next step in the hiring process lasts about 3-4 hours.


After this session, there will be a contract negotiation with HR left. If all goes well, we are more than happy to welcome them to anynines!
